Brazil’s GOL Linhas Aéreas has begun selling tickets for its new route between Brasilia and Caracas, marking the airline’s return to Venezuela after almost 9 years. This service includes a stopover in Bogota and will begin operations on March 31, 2025.
The new connection will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, using modern Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, with capacity for 186 passengers.

- Arrival in Bogota: 12:25
- Departure from Bogota: 13:25

- Departure from Bogota: 22:55
- Arrival in Brasilia: 07:00
The stopover time in Bogota will be one hour, and passengers will not need to change planes, facilitating a smoother travel experience.
It is important to note that the Bogota-Caracas-Bogota routes are not for sale, according to the airline’s website.
Return to Venezuela
GOL suspended flights to Venezuela in 2016 due to the impossibility of repatriating funds because of the Venezuelan government’s strict foreign exchange controls. This return represents a significant step in the expansion of its South American route network, reflecting a possible improvement in operating conditions or a renewed strategy for the Venezuelan market.
