In unfortunate news for the airport community, a Charlotte Douglas International Airport ramp agent lost his life this Monday, January 27 in a tragic accident that occurred at 9:30 a.m.
According to initial reports, the American Airlines worker was run over by an aircraft tug truck backing up in the apron area.
Despite the prompt response of emergency crews and medical services, the worker was unable to survive his injuries.
