Copa Airlines has reaffirmed its leadership in aviation by being recognized as the “Latin America’s Most Punctual Airline” for the tenth consecutive year. This recognition, awarded by CIRIUM, highlights its operational performance with an impressive on-time rate of 88.22% in 2024, positioning it as the most punctual airline in the Americas and the third worldwide.
A Milestone Celebrated at Copa Airlines’ Maintenance Center
The award ceremony took place this Friday at a special event held at Copa Airlines’ Maintenance Center, located at Tocumen International Airport. During the event, Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines, emphasized the fundamental role of the employees in achieving this milestone:
“Ten years of punctuality reflect the commitment, dedication, and unwavering effort of our entire team. From airport staff, our technicians, operations and crew members, to administrative support personnel, every employee plays a key role in providing a safe and reliable service. Reaching this milestone is a shared pride that we celebrate with gratitude and renewed commitment to our passengers,” stated Heilbron.

Additionally, in recognition of their efforts, several employees from different areas were honored during the ceremony, reaffirming Copa Airlines’ commitment to operational excellence.
Copa Airlines and Its Outstanding Operational Reliability
According to CIRIUM’s “The On-Time Performance (OTP)” report in 2024, Copa Airlines also stands out with a schedule completion factor of 98.73%, placing it among the airlines with the fewest cancellations on the continent.

As part of the celebration, Copa Airlines unveiled a Boeing 737 MAX 9 with a commemorative design, symbolizing its commitment to punctuality and service excellence. This aircraft will fly throughout the Americas, reaffirming the airline’s position as a benchmark in regional air connectivity.
