Kuwait Airways announced this Monday its move to the new Terminal 6 (T6) at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York starting in 2026. This decision makes it the twelfth airline to operate from T6, joining other companies such as Air Canada, Aer Lingus, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Condor, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Norse Atlantic Airways, and SWISS.
A World-Class Terminal
Terminal 6 is part of the ambitious transformation of JFK Airport, a $19 billion project led by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. This renovation includes:
- Two new terminals.
- Expansion and modernization of two existing terminals.
- A new ground transportation center.
- A simplified and improved road network.
The Kuwaiti airline has served the New York market for over 40 years, currently using Terminal 7 at JFK for its flights to Kuwait with modern Boeing 777-300 and Airbus A330-800 aircraft.
