LATAM Airlines has started the year with positive figures in its operational performance. During January 2025, the airline experienced significant growth in its capacity and passenger traffic, solidifying its position as one of the leading airlines in Latin America.
Growth in Air Capacity
The group increased its consolidated capacity by 9.5% compared to the same month in 2024. This increase, measured in available seat-kilometers (ASK), was driven by:
- A 12.0% rise in international supply.
- A 9.2% growth in the domestic supply of LATAM Airlines Brazil.
Additionally, the company resumed international flights from Porto Alegre (Brazil) to Santiago (Chile) and Lima (Peru).

Increase in Passenger Traffic
The consolidated passenger traffic, measured in revenue passenger-kilometers (RPK), saw an 8.3% increase compared to January 2024. As a result, the consolidated load factor reached 84.7%, indicating high demand for LATAM’s services.
During January, the airline transported 7.5 million passengers, marking a 5.8% growth compared to the same period the previous year.
Expansion in Air Cargo
In the cargo segment, LATAM also experienced positive growth. The group’s capacity, measured in available ton-kilometers (ATK), increased by 6.4%, reaching 701 million ATK.
These results reflect LATAM Airlines’ growth and expansion strategy, with a reinforced offering in both the domestic and international markets.
