Porter Airlines’ Expansion in New York
The new route to Newark strengthens Porter Airlines’ presence at this airport, where it already operates flights to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Ottawa.
Additionally, it complements the launch of a new route between Toronto-Pearson and LaGuardia, which will begin operations this spring.
Connections with Other Routes and International Networks
Through Montreal Airport, passengers will have access to various connections within Canada, including destinations such as Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Halifax.
Furthermore, Porter Airlines’ flights are synchronized to facilitate connections with the European network of its partner Air Transat, expanding international travel options.
Andrew Pierce, Vice President of Network Planning and Reporting at Porter Airlines, highlighted the strategic importance of this expansion: “Newark Airport has been a key part of Porter’s network since we launched our service between Billy Bishop and Newark in 2008. Adding a non-stop route from Montreal will make the New York area even more accessible to our passengers, providing them with more options when planning their trips to the Empire State.”
