SAS Expands Global Reach with New Codeshare Destinations via Air France-KLM

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) continues to strengthen its global network by expanding its codeshare agreement with Air France-KLM, offering more travel options to its customers. For the first time, SAS passengers will have access to new routes to Fortaleza and Salvador de Bahía in Brazil, as well as Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa.

Expansion of the Destination Network

Thanks to the extensive route network of Air France and KLM, SAS travelers can now seamlessly book flights to these new destinations, as well as a growing number of codeshare routes across Europe and other regions. This expanded agreement builds on the existing one within Europe and routes to and from Tokyo.

Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer of SAS, emphasized: “Our partnership with Air France-KLM continues to unlock new opportunities for our passengers, and we are thrilled to offer travel to Fortaleza and Salvador de Bahía for the first time. This is just the beginning: our list of codeshare destinations will continue to grow, enhancing connectivity and convenience for our customers and those of our partners.”

New Connections To and From Scandinavia

With this expansion, SAS enhances connectivity to and from Scandinavia, adding new destinations in Asia such as Osaka and Bangkok. Additionally, passengers can now fly to several cities in Brazil, including Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Fortaleza, and Salvador de Bahía. The expansion also includes South Africa, with new options to travel to Johannesburg and Cape Town.

This initiative reinforces SAS’s strategy of improving the customer experience with a broader global network, offering unprecedented connectivity for Scandinavian travelers.
