Air Canada has announced a significant expansion of its flight network for the upcoming summer season. The airline will launch a new route between Montreal and Edinburgh, while increasing capacity on its routes to Paris, Rome, and Athens, in response to growing demand for international travel.
Montreal-Edinburgh: The Only Non-Stop Option
Starting June 26, 2025, Air Canada will offer the only direct connection between Montreal and Edinburgh. This new route complements the existing summer services from Toronto to the Scottish capital, strengthening connectivity between Canada and the United Kingdom.

The flights will be operated with Boeing 737MAX aircraft, featuring cabin options in Premium Economy and Economy.
Alongside the new Edinburgh route, the airline has announced a significant boost to its European connections, expanding seat availability to Paris, Athens, and Rome.
Canada — Paris
- Three additional flights from Toronto on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
- Up to 10 weekly flights from Toronto and 14 from Montreal.
Canada — Athens
- Two new flights from Toronto on Tuesdays and Fridays.
- Additional frequencies extended until October.
- Up to 10 weekly flights from Toronto and 10 from Montreal.
Canada — Rome
- Up to four additional weekly frequencies, extended until October.
- Up to 12 weekly flights from Toronto and 9 from Montreal.
