Alaska Airlines announced on Tuesday the launch of its new international nonstop route between Seattle and Seoul-Incheon, operated by Hawaiian Airlines. Starting September 12, 2025, passengers will be able to enjoy this new service aboard a comfortable Airbus A330-200, enhancing connectivity between the U.S. West Coast and Asia.
Strategic Expansion in Seattle
The partnership between Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines is transforming Seattle into the West Coast’s premier global gateway. With plans to operate at least 12 international nonstop routes from Seattle by 2030, the airline reaffirms its commitment to connecting travelers with key destinations in Asia and beyond.
On May 12, daily flights between Seattle and Tokyo-Narita will also commence, further strengthening the airline’s international network. Currently, Alaska Airlines’ Seattle hub is the largest on the West Coast, offering 104 nonstop destinations across North America and providing convenient connections for passengers.

Enhanced Connectivity and Comfort
Andrew Harrison, Chief Commercial Officer of Alaska Airlines, emphasized the importance of international expansion: “With our extensive network, we can connect our passengers through Seattle with nonstop service to Seoul and Tokyo, as well as facilitate connections to other Asian destinations through our global partners. As we expand our network from Seattle, we will announce new international routes to dynamic destinations we know our customers will want to visit.”
The launch of the Seattle-Seoul route coincides with Chuseok, the traditional Korean Thanksgiving, celebrated in early October. This will allow travelers to reunite with family and friends in South Korea while enjoying Hawaiian Airlines’ renowned hospitality.

Flights between Seattle and Seoul will operate five times per week with the following schedules:
Route | Departure | Arrival | Operating Days | Aircraft |
