Spirit Airlines inaugurated this Wednesday the new direct route between San Antonio, Texas, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. With up to four weekly flights, this connection marks a milestone as it becomes the first non-stop service between San Antonio and the Caribbean.
A Bridge Between Two Vibrant Communities
“Our new service provides key connectivity between the vibrant communities of San Antonio and San Juan,” stated John Kirby, Vice President of Network Planning at Spirit Airlines. “We are always looking to add new and exciting destinations for our passengers, and this route will make travel easier for those looking to enjoy a vacation on the Island of Enchantment as well as for those visiting the historic Alamo City.”

Since 2022, Spirit Airlines has significantly expanded its operations in San Antonio, now offering non-stop flights to eight destinations. Additionally, starting April 9, 2025, the airline will introduce a new daily non-stop service between San Antonio and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
