American Airlines takes another step toward excellence in long-haul flights with the introduction of its new premium seat: the Flagship Suite, available this summer on its new Boeing 787-9 aircraft. This marks the beginning of a transformation in the airline’s onboard offerings, promising to redefine the travel experience for the most discerning passengers.
Official Debut: Chicago to Los Angeles, Then Across the Atlantic
Starting Monday, passengers can purchase tickets through American Airlines’ website and mobile app for the inaugural flight featuring this new product: Flight 2012 from Chicago O’Hare to Los Angeles on June 5. That same aircraft will return to Chicago to operate the first international Flagship Suite service to London Heathrow as Flight 98.
Global Expansion: More Routes and Destinations
The arrival of Boeing 787-9 aircraft equipped with these new suites marks the start of a premium route expansion that will continue throughout the year:
- August 6: Philadelphia — London Heathrow
- September 3: Philadelphia — Zurich
- October 26: Dallas Fort Worth — Brisbane, Australia
This strategic rollout strengthens American Airlines’ presence in key international markets, emphasizing comfort and exclusivity.
