The Dominican airline Arajet announced this Wednesday the launch of a new direct route between Punta Cana and Orlando Sanford International Airport, marking a key step in its North American expansion.
With flights starting on October 26, 2025, this new connection strengthens Arajet’s role as an air bridge between Latin America and the United States. Promotional fares begin at USD$138 for one-way trips from Orlando to Punta Cana and USD$162 for the reverse route. Tickets are now available on the airline’s website with the promotional code #HOLAORLANDO, offering up to 30% off the base price before taxes and additional fees (limited to one person per reservation).
Orlando is not only a global tourist magnet but also home to a large Latino community. According to Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and founder of Arajet, this route is a strategic milestone: “Orlando is not just one of the world’s most visited tourist destinations but also home to a vibrant Latino community. With this new route, we continue our mission of providing affordable, comfortable, and direct flights between Latin America and the United States.”
The Punta Cana-Orlando connection will operate three times a week: on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This new itinerary will provide easier access to Arajet’s growing network of destinations in the Caribbean and Latin America, via a convenient alternative gateway in Florida: Sanford International Airport, the city’s second most important air terminal.
Six Destinations and Counting
Orlando becomes Arajet’s sixth U.S. destination, joining Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York, and San Juan.
This expansion has been made possible thanks to the Open Skies agreement between the Dominican Republic and the United States, which has enabled rapid growth and highly competitive fares.
