San Diego and Connectivity at Schiphol
The timing of this new route follows a clear strategy: maximizing connectivity in both directions through Amsterdam-Schiphol’s hub. The flights are synchronized with peak departure and arrival times, facilitating seamless connections to over 50 European destinations with layovers under four hours.
Key markets benefiting from this enhanced connectivity include cities such as Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Munich, Frankfurt, Zurich, Lisbon, Athens, Milan, and Venice.
With this new route, KLM not only expands its footprint in North America but also strengthens its position as one of the European airlines with the strongest presence in the U.S. The move to serve San Diego is a strategic decision that could yield quick returns, thanks to optimized connectivity and the region’s economic growth.
