After more than nine months of suspension, Venezuela and Panama will reinstate their commercial flights. This was confirmed by sources from Venezuela’s National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) following an agreement with their Panamanian counterparts.
According to a source linked to the Venezuelan aviation sector, “after these discussions between authorities, it will be up to the airlines to decide when to reschedule their itineraries and resume flights between both countries.”
The news was supported by Venezuelan aviation lawyer Rodolfo Ruiz, who stated on the social media platform X that both countries would restore their air connectivity.

It is worth recalling that the suspension of flights between the two countries began in late July 2024, affecting air connectivity and limiting travel options for thousands of passengers.
Which airlines were operating before the suspension?
Copa Airlines led the connectivity with several weekly frequencies from Panama to five Venezuelan cities: Caracas, Valencia, Maracaibo, Barquisimeto, and Barcelona.
On the Venezuelan side, flights were operated by Venezolana de Aviacion and Turpial Airlines.
