Avianca Begins Direct Flights Between Bogotá and Córdoba, Argentina

Avianca began operating its new direct route between Bogotá (Colombia) and Córdoba (Argentina) this Monday, a move that strengthens economic, cultural, and tourism ties between the two countries. This connection marks a strategic step for the airline as it aims to expand its network of destinations in Latin America, offering travelers more options to explore the continent.

The new route will operate three times a week, linking the Colombian capital with Córdoba’s Ingeniero Ambrosio Taravella International Airport. The flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity for 180 passengers, providing over 1,080 weekly seats in both directions.

Frederico Pedreira, CEO of Avianca, emphasized the significance of this launch: “Today, we reaffirm to Argentinians that we are more present than ever, and we celebrate the takeoff of our first direct flight between Córdoba and Bogotá. This new operation is part of the 11 international routes we have announced so far this year.”

Pedreira also highlighted that during the first quarter of 2025, Avianca transported over 153,000 passengers to and from Argentina, reinforcing its commitment to regional connectivity.
