Avianca continues to bet on the modernization of its fleet. The airline announced the signing of an agreement with BOC Aviation Limited for the long-term lease of nine Airbus A320neo aircraft, which will be delivered in 2027. This acquisition is part of the company’s fleet renewal plan and reinforces its commitment to operational efficiency and sustainability.
Agreement Details
The deal was finalized between BOC Aviation and Airbus, which will supply the aircraft equipped with CFM LEAP-1A engines, known for their fuel-efficient performance and reduced environmental impact.

Steven Townend, CEO and Managing Director of BOC Aviation, highlighted the importance of this partnership: “We are pleased to work with Avianca once again as it expands its network in the rapidly growing Latin American markets. Avianca Strengthens Strategic Relationship with BOC Aviation
This is not the first agreement between the two companies. The relationship between Avianca and BOC Aviation has grown stronger over the years, and this new deal reaffirms their mutual trust and shared vision for the future.
