Through a statement, the president of the Dominican Republic’s Civil Aviation Board (JAC), Héctor Porcella, clarified that the decision regarding a potential resumption of commercial flights to and from the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is still under analysis.
The official’s statement comes after Venezuelan authorities published an official announcement declaring the resumption of air operations between the two countries, despite the corresponding process not yet being finalized in the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican authority emphasized that any updates on the matter will be communicated exclusively through the country’s official channels, thereby dismissing unconfirmed reports.

Despite the Dominican Republic’s official stance, Venezuela’s National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) announced on Sunday, June 15, that passenger, cargo, and mail air operations with the Caribbean nation would resume.
“The National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) announces the resumption of passenger, cargo, and mail air operations to and from the Dominican Republic,” the Venezuelan agency stated in a post on its Instagram account.
However, INAC did not specify whether this measure would take immediate effect or provide details about the effective date for the flights.
