JetSMART announced the launch of its new non-stop route connecting Bogotá to the island of San Andrés. Ticket sales began on Wednesday, June 18, with operations set to commence on October 15, 2025. This new air connection underscores the airline’s sustained growth in Colombia and promises to boost tourism to the archipelago.
Limited-Time Launch Fare and Promotion
To incentivize early travelers, JetSMART is offering a promotional fare starting at $222,600 per one-way trip, taxes and fees included, valid only from June 18 to June 19 until 10:00 a.m. After that time and until the end of June 19, tickets will be available starting at $292,600 per one-way trip, also with all charges included.
Carolina Ruiz, Commercial Manager of JetSMART in Colombia, explained that the airline anticipates high demand for this new route. “We expect this route to achieve an occupancy rate above 85%, which would allow us to increase capacity in the short term. By connecting three of the country’s main cities to the island, we are making travel more accessible and complementing our current operations with a more robust offering,” she stated.
Operational Details: More Seats, Enhanced Connectivity
The route will operate daily with Airbus A320 aircraft, configured to carry 186 passengers. This translates to an additional weekly offering of 2,604 seats for both directions.
Combined with current operations from Medellín (12 weekly flights) and Cali (4 weekly flights), the airline will provide a total of 7,812 weekly seats to the archipelago, significantly expanding air connectivity to this destination.
Currently, JetSMART serves 10 cities in Colombia through 18 domestic and four international routes. All operations are conducted using Airbus A320 aircraft.
