Ryanair, the Irish low-cost giant, once again demonstrated in May 2025 why it remains Europe’s leading airline by passenger volume. According to data released this Wednesday, the company carried 19.6 million travelers during the month, marking a 4% increase compared to the same period the previous year.

More Flights, Same Efficiency

In May, the airline operated over 107,000 flights across its network, expanding its capacity without compromising efficiency. Despite this operational increase, the load factor remained strong at 95%, unchanged from 2024. This stability reflects effective management of supply and demand—a key factor for an airline focused on competitive fares.

High Expectations for Summer

May’s performance reinforces Ryanair’s positive trend heading into the peak summer season. The company anticipates maintaining high traffic figures, supported by an expanded schedule and new routes connecting more destinations within and outside Europe. This strategy aims not only to consolidate its dominance but also to attract new passengers drawn by low prices and an increasingly extensive network.
