Spirit Airlines Celebrates 33 Years with Flights Giveaway

Spirit Airlines is marking its 33rd anniversary by rewarding its most loyal followers with 33 pairs of free round-trip flights. The airline launched the contest via its Instagram account @spiritairlines, where users can enter by commenting on the official giveaway post. The promotion will run from June 2 to June 8, 2025, until 11:59 p.m. (ET).

A Year of Transformation: Visible Results

Since the start of its transformation in August 2024, Spirit has nearly tripled its Net Promoter Score (NPS), a key metric measuring customers’ likelihood to recommend the airline. This improvement reflects a series of strategic investments focused on delivering kinder, more flexible, and personalized service.

Notable updates include new seats with extra legroom and enhanced benefits in the Free Spirit loyalty program, designed to reward frequent travelers with more perks and comforts.

Awards Validating the Progress

April 2025 marked an operational milestone for the company: Spirit ranked as the most on-time airline in North America. But that wasn’t the only achievement of the year. WalletHub named it the Best Overall Airline in 2025, while also highlighting its safety and affordability for the second consecutive year.

Spirit’s excellence was further recognized by APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association), which rated it as a four-star low-cost carrier in 2025. Additionally, its Fit Fleet, one of the youngest in the world according to ch-aviation, and the prestigious FAA Diamond Award of Excellence for maintenance—which Spirit has received for seven consecutive years—underscore its commitment to quality.
