Emirates has inaugurated its new daily service between Dubai and Shenzhen, marking the airline’s fourth destination in mainland China. This launch reinforces its growth strategy in East Asia.
Over 40 Weekly Flights to Mainland China
With Shenzhen as its newest destination, Emirates now operates 42 weekly flights to four major Chinese cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. This expansion not only enhances connectivity for passengers but also strengthens logistics and commercial options for businesses operating between China and other key markets.
Operational Details of the New Route
Flight EK328 departs Dubai at 10:05 and arrives in Shenzhen at 22:00. The return service, EK329, takes off from Shenzhen at 23:55 and lands in Dubai at 03:40 the following day. The schedules are strategically designed to facilitate seamless connections to European destinations such as London, Paris, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam, as well as key points in Africa and Saudi Arabia, via Emirates’ global hub in Dubai.

An Enhanced Onboard Experience
Passengers on this route will enjoy the comforts of the four-class Boeing 777-300ER. The cabin configuration includes:
- 8 private suites in First Class.
- 40 lie-flat seats in Business Class, arranged in a 1-2-1 layout ensuring aisle access for every seat.
- 24 seats in the award-winning Premium Economy, making its debut in mainland China via Shenzhen.
- 260 seats in Economy Class, offering increased space and comfort.
This route makes Shenzhen the first Chinese city to feature one of Emirates’ aircraft with refurbished cabin interiors.
Logistics Potential: The Aerial Silk Road and Refrigerated Cargo
Emirates has been operating in China since 2004, playing a key role in connecting over 50 countries linked to the Belt and Road Initiative. The expansion to Shenzhen will further boost inbound visitors from GCC countries and Africa, while also benefiting strategic sectors such as smart manufacturing, e-commerce, and biopharmaceuticals.
The Boeing 777-300ER assigned to this route offers a cargo capacity of 16 tons per flight. This will strengthen the so-called “Aerial Silk Road,” linking Shenzhen’s manufacturing sector with Emirates’ global cargo network. Additionally, the airline boasts a world-class cold chain system, ideal for the efficient transport of perishable and pharmaceutical products.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, emphasized: “We are thrilled to launch this new daily service to Shenzhen, one of China’s most dynamic and innovative cities. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to mainland China and the strengthening of China-UAE relations.”
With its ever-expanding global network and dedication to service quality, Emirates continues to solidify its role as a key bridge between Asia and the Middle East.
