LATAM Airlines is expanding its presence in South America with the announcement of a new international route between Brazil and Argentina. Starting December 20, 2025, the airline will begin operating flights between Recife and Buenos Aires/Ezeiza with a weekly frequency, strengthening its position as one of the leading carriers between the two countries.
Enhanced Connectivity for Brazil’s Northeast Region
The new flight will depart from Recife on Saturdays, with return flights from Buenos Aires scheduled for Sundays. The route will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, with a capacity of 174 passengers, including Premium Economy cabin seats—a proposal that emphasizes both comfort and efficiency for regional flights.
Florencia Scardaccione, Commercial Manager of LATAM in Argentina, highlighted the impact of the new route: “This new connection between Argentina and Brazil allows more Argentine tourists to explore the beauty of Brazil’s Northeast region, while also providing an additional travel option for a destination traditionally popular among Brazilians. Our goal is to improve accessibility and offer more travel choices, enhancing connectivity in South America in a sustainable way.”

LATAM Reaches 10 Routes Between Argentina and Brazil
With this addition, LATAM now offers a total of 10 direct routes between Argentina and Brazil, solidifying its leadership as one of the airlines with the most extensive flight options between the two countries. The active and upcoming routes include:
- Sao Paulo Guarulhos — Aeroparque
- Sao Paulo Guarulhos — Ezeiza
- Sao Paulo Guarulhos — Mendoza
- Sao Paulo Guarulhos — Rosario (coming soon)
- Sao Paulo Guarulhos — Cordoba (coming soon)
- Porto Alegre — Aeroparque (coming soon)
- Florianopolis — Ezeiza (coming soon)
- Rio de Janeiro Galeao — Ezeiza
- Sao Paulo Guarulhos — Bariloche (seasonal)
- Recife — Ezeiza (new route starting December 20)
This growth is part of LATAM’s strategy to expand its regional network, particularly to destinations that combine tourist demand and historical ties between neighboring countries.
Ticket Sales
Tickets for the new Recife–Buenos Aires route will be available in the coming days through the airline’s website and standard sales channels. The operation is subject to government approval, as is standard for newly announced international routes.
