Air Europa will expand its presence in Switzerland with the launch of a new route linking Madrid-Barajas with Geneva starting June 19, 2026. The airline will operate two daily frequencies, thereby strengthening its commitment to the Swiss market, where it already successfully connects the Spanish capital with Zurich.
Schedules Designed for Business and Leisure Travelers
Starting in the summer season and on a permanent basis, flights will depart from Madrid at 07:55 and 16:40. In the opposite direction, services from Geneva will depart at 10:50 and 19:35. This schedule will offer passengers greater flexibility, especially those traveling for business or looking to take advantage of weekend getaways.

Geneva, Second Destination in Switzerland
With this addition, Air Europa adds a second destination in the Alpine country. It currently operates two daily frequencies to Zurich, a route that carried nearly 250,000 passengers last year. The Geneva connection will provide an annual capacity of over 260,000 seats, raising the airline’s total capacity in Switzerland to more than half a million seats.
Boeing 737-800, the Backbone of European Routes
All operations will be performed using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. This aircraft offers high passenger and cargo capacity on short and medium-haul routes, guaranteeing operational efficiency and onboard comfort.
The new route is part of Air Europa’s growth plan, which includes the addition of more aircraft in the coming months. The airline’s objective is to strengthen its international network and maintain an increasingly sustainable and efficient fleet, in line with the demands of the global market.
