Colombia continues to strengthen its position as one of the most attractive destinations for both international and domestic travelers. According to data from the Office of Analytics of Civil Aviation, between January and July 2025, a total of 32,649,000 passengers were transported through the country’s airports, compared to 31,916,000 during the same period in 2024. This represents an increase of 734,000 travelers, equivalent to a 2.3% growth.
The international segment led this trend with a 7.9% increase, reflecting the confidence and preference of foreign tourists for Colombia.
July Maintains Positive Trend
In July 2025, air traffic reached 5,167,000 passengers, compared to 5,006,000 in the same month of 2024. The 3.2% variation corresponds to an additional 161,000 travelers, of which 141,000 were international and 20,000 were domestic.

This performance confirms that Colombian aviation maintains a steady growth pace, consolidating the country as a regional hub.
Cargo and Mail Transport on the Rise
This dynamism is not limited to passengers. Between January and July 2025, 552,222 metric tons of cargo and mail were transported, compared to 538,212 metric tons during the same period the previous year. The difference of 14,010 additional metric tons represents a 2.6% growth.
In July, the volume handled reached 71,189 metric tons, exceeding the 2024 figure of 68,570 metric tons by 2,619 metric tons.
Goal: Surpassing 2024 Records
These results reinforce the upward trend in both passengers and cargo, with the aim of exceeding the historical records set in 2024.

The regulatory body emphasized that it works in coordination with airlines and sector stakeholders to ensure that every traveler finds a reliable and safe environment in Colombian skies. Operational safety, the entity underscored, is a non-negotiable principle in the development of the national aviation industry.
