Korean Air Introduces Premium Class in Its Retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER Fleet

Korean Air has taken a bold step toward modernizing its onboard offerings with the launch of its new Premium Class, available starting mid-September on short- and medium-haul routes operated by its fully retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The airline has invested nearly 300 billion won to refurbish 11 Boeing 777-300ERs, featuring completely redesigned interiors that match the standards of its newest aircraft. This upgrade not only enhances the aesthetics and functionality of the cabins but also introduces a new service class designed to provide greater comfort and options for modern travelers.

What is Premium Class?

Positioned between traditional Economy Class and Prestige (Business) Class, the new Premium Class offers an intermediate product that combines superior comfort and enhanced service at a competitive price.

Passengers will enjoy 40 seats arranged in a 2-4-2 configuration, with 50% more space than Economy Class. The seat pitch ranges from 39 to 41 inches (approximately one meter), surpassing many global airlines’ premium economy offerings. Additionally, the seats feature:

The onboard experience is further elevated with 15.6-inch 4K screens, which are even larger than those in the Prestige Class on the same aircraft. The entertainment system has also been updated to deliver a more immersive experience.
