LATAM Airlines has unveiled its new Premium Comfort cabin, a strategic move that redefines the onboard experience for international long-haul flights. With an investment exceeding US$100 million, this innovation marks a turning point for travelers seeking greater comfort without the cost of business class.
Strategically positioned between Premium Business and Economy classes, Premium Comfort was designed for passengers who value both rest and productivity. This sophisticated offering balances space, service, and technology, solidifying LATAM’s position as a regional leader in aviation modernization.
What Does Premium Comfort Offer?
The new cabin stands out for its exclusive environment, featuring wider seats, increased recline, and a layout that provides greater separation between rows. Additionally, the lower passenger density creates a quieter, more private atmosphere, ideal for both work and relaxation.

This tangible improvement stems from an in-depth analysis of current customer expectations. According to Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Customers at LATAM Airlines Group, “Premium Comfort reflects our deep understanding of our customers’ evolving needs and our commitment to offering more options so every passenger can travel the way they want.”
Technology, Design, and Personalized Service
The Premium Comfort experience goes beyond the seat. LATAM has introduced a carefully curated gastronomic offering and personalized service that elevates the onboard attention to a new level.
For entertainment and connectivity, passengers will have access to 16-inch 4K screens, Bluetooth connectivity, fast-charging USB-C ports, and individual power outlets. This suite of technologies ensures travelers remain connected and entertained throughout their journey.
Availability and Projections
The rollout of Premium Comfort will begin in 2027 with the Boeing 787 fleet, on select international long-haul routes. LATAM will soon announce specific destinations and launch dates.
