At the International Tourism Fair (FIT), Aerolíneas Argentinas presented its plan for the upcoming peak Austral summer season, focusing on domestic travel and international beach destinations. The domestic operation will bolster its main routes from Buenos Aires, with 69 weekly frequencies to Córdoba, 63 to Bariloche, 60 to Mendoza, 51 to Ushuaia, 45 to Iguazú, 40 to El Calafate, 38 to Salta, 36 to Tucumán, and 32 to Mar del Plata.

Furthermore, connectivity will be increased to Comodoro Rivadavia, Neuquén, Rosario, Jujuy, Bahía Blanca, and Trelew.

Notable interline routes include 16 weekly flights for Ushuaia–El Calafate, 6 for Bariloche–El Calafate, 4 for Tucumán–Mar del Plata, 4 for Córdoba–Tucumán, and 4 for Salta–Iguazú, in addition to connections like Córdoba–Mendoza, Córdoba–Jujuy, and Mar del Plata–Rosario.

Uruguay: New Routes from Brazil and Increased Frequencies

The airline will resume fifth-freedom rights —which it had not used since 2012— to operate flights between Brazil and Uruguay. Starting December 25th until January 31st, there will be two weekly frequencies on the Sao Paulo–Punta del Este route. From Porto Alegre, the route will operate the same number of flights, between December 26th and January 31st.

From Argentina, the schedule includes 28 weekly frequencies to Punta del Este (5 more than the last season), 16 to Montevideo (2 additional compared to 2025), and 2 weekly Córdoba–Punta del Este flights, available on Thursdays and Saturdays starting January 1st.

Brazil: New Route to Cabo Frio and More Flights to Tourist Destinations

One of the new developments is the addition of Cabo Frio, the gateway to Buzios and Arraial do Cabo. Between January 3rd and April 5th, there will be two weekly frequencies from Buenos Aires and another two from Rosario, both operating on Saturdays and Sundays.

The network to Brazil is also being reinforced:

  • Buenos Aires–Rio de Janeiro will have 35 weekly flights in January, while Córdoba and Rosario will each add 4.
  • Salvador de Bahía will increase from 6 to 10 weekly frequencies.
  • Porto Seguro will increase from 2 to 3 weekly flights.
  • Florianópolis will have 26 flights from Buenos Aires, while Córdoba and Rosario will operate 5 each, and Salta and Tucumán will add 2 per city.

Aruba: A New Caribbean Destination

From January 1st to February 28th, the company will open a new route to Aruba, its third Caribbean destination. The offering includes three weekly frequencies on the Buenos Aires–Aruba–Córdoba–Buenos Aires route, one Córdoba–Aruba flight on Thursdays, and another Mendoza–Aruba flight on Fridays. The launch fare is $799 round trip plus taxes from any of the three cities.

The international network will also be strengthened with 6 weekly frequencies to Punta Cana from Buenos Aires, 3 from Córdoba, and 1 from Tucumán, along with 6 weekly flights to Cancún. Other strategic destinations include 21 flights to Miami, 10 to Madrid, and 24 to Santiago de Chile.

An Anniversary with a New Image

On the eve of its 75th anniversary, Aerolíneas Argentinas unveiled a commemorative logo under the slogan “Heading for the Future.” The design combines fine-stroke typography for the number 75, conveying sobriety, with a dynamic visual composition symbolizing movement and progress. The proposal aims to balance tradition with innovation and consolidate the company as both a historical reference and a key player in the future of air connectivity.

During the presentation, the company’s President, Fabián Lombardo, emphasized: “We are working with an aggressive commercial strategy, competing in the markets where we need to be. We have a competitive, reliable, and safe product in a sector that continues to grow. And our focus will remain on economic sustainability, consistently improving the company’s profitability.”
