SAS Launches First Direct Route Between Scandinavia and Korea with Flights from Copenhagen to Seoul

September 12 marks a milestone in the history of Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). The airline has launched its first non-stop service between Scandinavia and Korea, with flights departing from Copenhagen to Seoul. This unprecedented connection will strengthen ties between the two destinations and open new opportunities for both business travelers and tourists.

The schedule has been designed with late-evening departures, optimizing connections within Europe and allowing for better use of time at the destination. The route will be operated using the Airbus A350, a state-of-the-art aircraft that carries approximately 300 passengers and stands out for its fuel efficiency.

Frequencies and Route Expansion

The new link will operate four times per week during the fall and will reduce to three weekly frequencies in the winter season. However, the market’s positive response has led the company to plan a 50% capacity increase starting in June 2026, reaching up to six weekly flights during the summer.

Copenhagen Expansion Strategy

With this new route, SAS now offers 14 intercontinental routes from Copenhagen, reinforcing its strategy of developing the Danish capital as a top-tier global hub and Scandinavia’s main gateway to the world.
