On October 17, 2025, Air France inaugurated its new VIP lounge at Chicago O’Hare International Airport. For the first time, passengers departing from this terminal can enjoy a space designed to offer tranquility and refinement in the purest French style before boarding.
Located in Terminal 5, the lounge—managed in collaboration with Global Lounge Network—reflects the image and service standards characteristic of Air France. With an area of 470 square meters and 105 seats, it is open daily from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and welcomes Business class customers, Flying Blue Elite Plus members, and eligible KLM travelers.
Elegant Design and Serene Ambiance
The new lounge is distinguished by its high ceilings and large windows that flood the space with natural light and offer direct views of the runways. The design, developed with the SGK Brandimage agency, integrates the iconic winged seahorse, a historic symbol of the airline, and a selection of posters that evoke its rich heritage.
Air France’s signature colors—shades of blue, bright whites, and touches of red—envelop the space in a refined and contemporary atmosphere. The furniture, with soft and enveloping lines, has been carefully selected to provide maximum comfort for travelers.
French Gastronomy with a Sustainable Focus
At the heart of the lounge, the dining area invites guests to experience an authentic French culinary journey. This warm and welcoming space features nearly 40 seats and a large central table designed for sharing. The menu varies throughout the day and includes hot and cold options, savory and sweet dishes, plus vegetarian alternatives.

Passengers can savor iconic dishes such as boeuf bourguignon, roast chicken, or chocolate mousse with caramel cream. Air France prioritizes local and seasonal products, focusing on sustainability and controlling food waste, in addition to providing water stations to reduce the use of single-use plastics.
The bar, inspired by grand Parisian hotels, offers a festive and elegant atmosphere. Staffed by a bartender or available in self-service mode, it features a curated selection of champagnes, wines, and French liqueurs.
Exclusive Space for Flying Blue Ultimate
Flying Blue Ultimate customers have access to a private area within the lounge, equipped with four comfortable seats. This environment guarantees tranquility and privacy, while maintaining direct access to all available services.
Comfort and Connectivity for All Travelers
The lounge features zones designed for relaxing, working, or enjoying a light meal. There are more private areas with armchairs and ottomans facing the runways, ideal for those with more time. There is also a functional and quiet workspace and a dedicated booth for telephone calls.
For streamlined access, the entrance is equipped with eligibility kiosks. Passengers can enjoy television screens, free Wi-Fi, numerous power outlets and USB ports, plus access to a wide selection of French and international digital press via the Air France Press app.
Connection Between Paris and Chicago
During the winter season, Air France operates up to seven weekly flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Chicago O’Hare, using its modern Airbus A350, thereby reinforcing its commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience from the ground to the sky.
