Hawaiian Airlines is preparing for the return of its seasonal flights connecting Honolulu and Auckland. Starting November 16, 2025, the route will operate three times per week until the end of April 2026, offering passengers direct flights between New Zealand and Hawaii, plus one-stop connections to and from the U.S. mainland.
“We know New Zealand travelers have been eagerly anticipating the return of our seasonal service, and our crews are delighted to welcome them back onboard with the authentic hospitality and care that Hawaiian Airlines is known for. Thanks to the strength of our combined global network, every passenger flying from Hawaii, the U.S. mainland, or New Zealand will now have more choices than ever to explore the world,” said Andrew Stanbury, South Pacific Regional Director for Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines.
Over a Decade of Connecting Cultures and Destinations
Since its inception in March 2013, Hawaiian Airlines has proudly served Auckland, strengthening ties between Indigenous communities and Pacific families while boosting New Zealand tourism and its economy. This air link has served as a cultural and economic bridge between both regions, attracting American travelers seeking adventure and ecotourism experiences.

Service Details and Onboard Comfort
The service will be operated by the 278-seat Airbus A330, a spacious aircraft offering complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi thanks to Starlink technology. The aircraft features 18 Business Class seats that recline fully in a 2-2-2 configuration, ideal for couples, honeymooners, and business travelers seeking privacy and comfort.
Furthermore, the 68 Extra Comfort seats—soon to be renamed Premium Class—offer extra legroom, priority boarding, and additional amenities to enhance the travel experience.
Peak Season: Austral Summer and Holidays
The seasonal service operates during the Southern Hemisphere summer, when New Zealand comes alive with its warm weather and blooming landscapes. It’s the perfect time to explore wine regions like Marlborough and Hawkes Bay, or to venture onto one of the country’s 11 iconic Great Walks.
Additionally, the schedule aligns with the peak holiday season, offering ideal connectivity for both tourists and residents traveling to the United States or Hawaii.
With this return, Hawaiian Airlines reaffirms its commitment to South Pacific travelers, offering a comfortable, connected, and culturally significant flight experience. The combination of “aloha” hospitality, global connectivity, and premier onboard service reinforces the airline’s role as a key link between Hawaii, New Zealand, and the U.S. mainland.
