Iberia’s “Espacio Iberia” Chooses São Paulo as Its Next Destination

Iberia is taking a decisive step in its strategy to conquer the Brazilian market by making São Paulo the new destination for its “Espacio Iberia,” an immersive experience center designed to bring the Spanish airline’s offerings closer to the local public.

The space will open its doors on November 3rd and remain active until the 30th of the same month. Located at Rua Oscar Freire 777, in the heart of the upscale Jardins district, one of the city’s most exclusive commercial and leisure areas, it will feature over 1,100 m² spread across three floors. Throughout the month, it will offer a varied schedule of cultural, gastronomic, and aviation-related activities.

“Brazil is a key focus for Iberia, not only due to the growth this market has seen in capacity and daily frequencies to Europe, but because we have designed a specific strategic plan for the country. With Espacio Iberia, we aim for Brazilians not just to learn about the airline, but to experience it, taste its gastronomy, discover its value proposition, and consider it as an option for connecting with Spain, Europe, or beyond,” explained Gemma Juncá, Iberia’s Director of Brand and Marketing.

With this inauguration, São Paulo becomes the fourth international destination for Espacio Iberia, after Bogotá, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires.

Iberia Strengthens Its Global Network This Winter with New Routes and Increased Frequencies

Interested individuals can check the schedule and reserve activities through the official website: https://www.espacio.iberia.com/pt-br

Record Growth in the Long-Haul Network

The opening of this space comes at a time of expansion for Iberia in Brazil. This year, the airline will offer nearly 600,000 seats on routes between the South American country and Europe, the highest figure in its history.

In São Paulo, the company solidified two daily flights for 2024, one of which is operated with the Airbus A350, the largest and most efficient aircraft in its fleet, with a capacity for 348 passengers. Furthermore, Iberia maintains between 4 and 5 weekly frequencies to Rio de Janeiro.

New Routes from Northeast Brazil

The major news for the season will be the direct connections with the Brazilian northeast:

Both routes will be operated with the new Airbus A321XLR, for which Iberia was the launch customer in November 2024. This single-aisle aircraft, with a capacity for 182 passengers in Business and Tourist cabins, has become one of the most efficient models on the market.

A Clear Signal of Commitment

The opening of Espacio Iberia in São Paulo, coupled with the increase in frequencies and the launch of new routes, solidifies Brazil’s role as a strategic market for the airline. Iberia not only aims to strengthen its connectivity with Spain and Europe but also to offer Brazilian passengers a brand experience that transcends the flight itself, extending to culture, gastronomy, and innovation.
