Punctuality remains one of the most valued factors for passengers when choosing which airline to fly with. According to the monthly report from Cirium, a firm specialized in aviation sector analysis, in September 2025, Aeromexico took first place in the “Global Airlines” category, with 91.80% of its flights on time, consolidating its position as a benchmark for operational efficiency.
North America: Delta Air Lines Dominates
In the North America region, Delta Air Lines ranked at the top with an 87.50% on-time performance. They were followed by Alaska Airlines, with 84.59%, and WestJet, which achieved 84.49%.
Latin America: Aeromexico Sets the Pace
In Latin America, Aeromexico also led with its 91.80%, followed by Panama’s Copa Airlines, with 90.65%, and Brazil’s GOL, which achieved 90.35%. The top five were rounded out by AZUL, with 89.45%, and Volaris, with 86.42%.

Europe: Icelandair Leads in Precision
In Europe, Iceland’s Icelandair took first place with 86.36%, followed by SAS, which obtained 84.13%, and Iberia, with 83.37%.
Asia-Pacific: Philippine Airlines Takes the Lead
The Cirium report also highlighted performance in the Asia-Pacific region, where Philippine Airlines topped the list with 90.47% of flights on time. In second place was Thai AirAsia, with 85.79%, and in third was IndiGo, with 83.69%.
Middle East and Africa: Royal Jordanian Makes the Difference
In the Middle East and Africa, the most punctual was Royal Jordanian, with an outstanding 95.39% punctuality rate, surpassing Kuwait Airways (91.82%) and Flyadeal (91.51%).
