Aeroméxico announced this Monday that it will resume its flights between Mexico City and Barcelona (Spain) and launch a new route connecting Monterrey with Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) starting in the spring of 2026. This expansion represents a firm step in the airline’s international growth strategy, strengthening its leadership in long-haul connectivity.
Mexico City–Barcelona: A New Gateway to Spain
Beginning March 28, 2026, Aeroméxico will operate six weekly flights between Mexico City and Barcelona, using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. These aircraft are configured with the Premier One cabin, which includes full-flat-bed seats, designed to offer greater comfort on intercontinental flights.
This route adds to the existing ones to Madrid from Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, allowing Aeroméxico to reach up to 40 weekly flights to Spain during the summer of 2026.

Monterrey–Paris: International Connectivity from Northern Mexico
Starting April 13, 2026, Aeroméxico will begin three weekly flights between Monterrey and Paris Charles de Gaulle, also operated with Boeing 787 Dreamliners. This new route consolidates the airline as the leading operator of long-haul flights from Monterrey, adding to its current services to Madrid, Seoul, and Tokyo.
Thanks to connections with SkyTeam partners at Charles de Gaulle Airport, passengers from northern Mexico will have seamless access to multiple European destinations, strengthening the region’s international profile.
Operating Schedule: Monterrey–Paris
| Route | Operating Days | Departure | Arrival |
| Monterrey – Paris CDG | Monday, Thursday, Saturday | 15:15 | 09:45 (+1 day) |

Increased Capacity and Historic Connectivity
With these new routes, Aeroméxico will increase its seat capacity to Europe by 11% compared to the previous year, reaching the highest offering in its history on the continent. The Mexico City–Barcelona route will provide over 3,000 weekly seats, while Monterrey–Paris will add over 1,500.
In addition to these new developments, the airline will continue to operate daily flights from Mexico City to Amsterdam, London, Paris, and Rome, consolidating a robust and efficient European network.
Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aeroméxico, stated: “We are excited to expand our transatlantic services once again next year, reactivating the connection between Mexico City and Barcelona, and bringing Monterrey closer to Europe through Paris. These routes are part of our strategy to meet the growing demand between Mexico and Europe.”
Tickets for both routes are already available through Aeroméxico’s sales channels.
