Emirates has announced the implementation of Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire in-service fleet, comprised of 232 Boeing 777 and Airbus A380 aircraft. This deployment will begin in November 2025 with the Boeing 777s and be completed by mid-2027, marking a milestone in international air connectivity.
The airline will offer this service free of charge in all classes, with easy access and no need for a Skywards membership. The connection will allow passengers to make video calls, play online, work, browse social media, and enjoy streaming content, both on individual seatback screens and on personal devices.
Deployment Launch: Dubai Airshow as the Platform
The first aircraft equipped with Starlink is the Boeing 777-300ER, registration A6-EPF, currently on display at the Dubai Airshow. Following the event, this aircraft will resume commercial operations, becoming the first Emirates flight with Starlink connectivity.
The airline plans to install the system on approximately 14 aircraft per month. Installation on the Airbus A380s will begin in February 2026, featuring a novel configuration of three antennas per aircraft, while the Boeing 777s will receive two antennas each. This architecture guarantees optimal coverage, capacity, and performance in all cabins.

More Than Wi-Fi: A Comprehensive Onboard Experience Overhaul
The installation of Starlink is being carried out in parallel with Emirates’ ambitious cabin modernization program, which includes:
- New Premium Economy cabins
- Redesigned Business Class
- Refreshed First Class suites
Upgraded in-flight entertainment technologies
Furthermore, starting December 2025, passengers will be able to access live television via Starlink, first on personal devices and later on seatback screens.
Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, emphasized: “We are introducing the world’s fastest in-flight Wi-Fi, raising expectations for onboard connectivity. But this is just one part of the transformation we are undertaking across our fleet.”
Clark underlined that the Emirates philosophy is based on consistency: “While others offer varied products depending on the route or aircraft type, we want all our customers to enjoy the best of Emirates, without exception.”
For his part, Chad Gibbs, Vice President of Starlink Commercial Operations at SpaceX, stated: “With Starlink onboard, passengers can enjoy an uninterrupted digital experience, just as they would on the ground.”
A Renewed Fleet for a New Era
The implementation of Starlink adds to the modernization program of nearly 220 aircraft. To date, 76 aircraft have been completely refurbished, incorporating enhancements in all classes and high-end finishes.
The Emirates onboard experience also includes more than 6,500 channels of entertainment, the iconic A380 Onboard Lounge, and the exclusive First Class Shower Spa.
With this initiative, Emirates is redefining air connectivity and reinforcing its position as a benchmark for innovation, service, and excellence in the commercial aviation industry.
