Iberia Cards, the consumer payments and financing entity linked to Iberia and its Iberia Club loyalty program, has introduced a new range of products aimed at redefining how customers experience their travels. The launch consists of three credit cards — the Visa Iberia Aire, Visa Iberia Icon+, and Visa Iberia Zenit — designed to offer personalized benefits by integrating technology, security, and exclusive advantages within the Iberia ecosystem.
Visa Iberia Aire: Flexibility and Rewards for a Younger Audience
Tailored for a young audience that values quality and adaptability, the Visa Iberia Aire card offers a combination of discounts and benefits that go beyond being just a payment method. Among its main attractions is the possibility of earning up to two round-trip flights within a two-year period through regular card usage. It also includes benefits on experiences and services from the Iberia Club program, as well as discounts on gasoline, car rentals, travel insurance, and e-SIM phone cards.
Visa Iberia Icon+: More Benefits and Exclusive Access
Aimed at those who wish to maximize every trip, the Visa Iberia Icon+ expands on the benefits of the Aire card and incorporates additional advantages. Cardholders automatically attain Iberia Club Silver status, enjoy extra Avios accumulation on everyday purchases, and can use the Fast Track service at airports. This card positions itself as the only one on the market that allows access to Iberia’s VIP Lounges, reinforcing its exclusive nature for the frequent traveler.
Visa Iberia Zenit: The Premium Experience, by Invitation Only
The Visa Iberia Zenit represents the most exclusive option in the new product family. Available only by invitation, this card grants access to Iberia Club Gold status, making it the only card on the market with this privilege. Additionally, it offers premium insurance, extra Avios accumulation, a concierge service, and unique benefits both with Iberia and its strategic partners in the tourism sector.

A Strategy Focused on Innovation and Loyalty
With this new offering, Iberia Cards reinforces its commitment to advanced digitalization and personalization, consolidating its leadership in payment methods linked to the travel sector in Spain. Currently, the company has 200,000 customers and a market share of nearly 10% in credit card purchases within the tourism sector. Its products are distributed through its own channels, as well as via BBVA and Banco Santander.
The company was a pioneer in Spain in launching co-branded cards for Iberia customers, leveraging Visa’s global network. This strategic alliance has allowed Iberia Cards to develop solutions such as virtual cards for agencies and BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) payment options, already adopted by leading operators.
Strategic Alliances as a Growth Engine
Iberia Cards’ value proposition is supported by collaborations with key sectors such as insurance, fuel, entertainment, and travel. These alliances allow users to obtain tangible benefits while partners gain visibility and brand preference. “It’s a win-win,” says Francisco Javier Cobo Velasco, General Manager of Iberia Cards, who emphasizes that this loyalty model can be replicated with other large companies interested in strengthening their relationship with customers.
Victor Moneo, President of Iberia Cards, underlines that the entity is a key pillar in Iberia’s loyalty strategy: “It allows us to be present in our customers’ daily lives, reinforcing their bond with the brand even when they are not flying.”
Visa and Iberia Cards: A Shared Vision for the Future of Tourism
From Visa, Eduardo Prieto, General Manager in Spain, highlights that tourism will continue to be a growth lever for the Spanish economy if it evolves towards customer-centric models. “We work with Iberia Cards to facilitate secure, frictionless, and practically invisible payments that enhance the traveler’s experience and strengthen their relationship with the brand,” he notes.
Bea Larregle, SVP and Regional Manager for Southern Europe at Visa, adds that this collaboration enables them to offer solutions that combine personalization, technology, and real benefits, leveraging Visa’s global network to make every experience more comfortable, secure, and rewarding.
With this vision, Iberia Cards positions itself as a key player in the evolution of the tourism sector, where every purchase made with its cards not only represents a transaction but also a step closer to the next destination.
