LATAM to Reach 63 Airports in Brazil and Announces New Routes to Belgium, Netherlands, and South Africa

LATAM Airlines announced this Monday an expansion of its route network, solidifying its leadership as the main air connector between Brazil and the rest of the world. By 2026, the airline will reach a total of 63 airports served in Brazil, with the addition of Uberaba, Juiz de Fora, Caldas Novas, and Campina Grande to its domestic network.

On the international front, LATAM will add three new direct destinations from Brazil: Cape Town (South Africa), Brussels (Belgium), and Amsterdam (the Netherlands), bringing the total number of direct international routes operated from the country to 28.

New Domestic Routes: Strategic Connectivity

The domestic expansion will materialize with the following operations:

All these routes will be operated with Airbus A320 family aircraft, strengthening connectivity to tourist and business destinations in the country’s interior.

LATAM is also reinforcing its global presence with three new connections from Guarulhos Airport:

These routes will be operated with Boeing 787 aircraft, expanding the range of destinations from Brazil to Europe and Africa. It is worth noting that LATAM already connects São Paulo with Johannesburg, the largest city in South Africa.

Consolidated Leadership in the Brazilian Market

Since 2021, LATAM has increased its presence in Brazil from 44 to 59 airports, positioning itself as the airline that has invested the most in the country in recent years. In the international market, it maintains its leadership with its own flights from Brazil to 90 destinations abroad, 24 of which are direct.

According to data from the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), LATAM has led both the domestic and international markets since 2021. Furthermore, it has been recognized for the second consecutive year as the preferred airline by corporate travelers, according to the Brazilian Association of Corporate Travel Agencies (Abracorp).

Jerome Cadier, CEO of LATAM Brasil, emphasized that this expansion is part of a strategy based on efficiency and focus on the frequent customer: “The focus on efficiency and the frequent customer is what allows us to continue investing very judiciously in sustainable markets. The new routes we are announcing have undergone responsible analysis and make sense for both the real demand for travel and our business strategy.”

The new routes will be available for sale this same week on the airline’s website and other official channels.
