Uzbekistan Airways has confirmed the conversion of options into a firm order for eight Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, thereby strengthening its growth strategy. With this acquisition, Uzbekistan’s flag carrier raises the total number of ordered units of the versatile wide-body model to 22.

The announcement was made during the C5+1 Summit held in Washington, D.C., an event that brought together key leaders from Central Asia and the United States. The signing of the agreement was witnessed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick, and the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov.
