Virgin Atlantic has announced a series of initiatives that reinforce its commitment to the Caribbean, highlighting new alliances and the strengthening of existing agreements to offer its customers greater flexibility and options when exploring the region.
One of the most significant developments is the interline agreement with InterCaribbean Airways, enabling seamless connections to 11 Caribbean destinations. From Barbados and Antigua, passengers will be able to access routes to Dominica, St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Grenada, Kingston, the Turks and Caicos Islands, as well as continue their journey to Georgetown, Guyana – a connection long requested by travelers.
Expansion of the Alliance with Caribbean Airlines
In addition to the new agreement with InterCaribbean, Virgin Atlantic has expanded its collaboration with Caribbean Airlines. This expansion allows for connections to 16 additional destinations in the region, including new routes from Barbados and Antigua to Beef Island and San Juan.
These strategic alliances not only expand the destination network but also enhance the customer experience by offering greater, hassle-free connectivity.

Increase in Inter-Island Flights with State-of-the-Art Aircraft
Virgin Atlantic will also increase its own inter-island services during the winter season. Frequencies between Barbados, Grenada, and St. Vincent and the Grenadines will increase from two to three weekly flights. These routes will be operated by the Airbus A330-900neo, the most modern aircraft in the fleet, which guarantees a comfortable and elegant travel experience for those wishing to engage in “island hopping.”
Seamless Travel: Integrated Baggage and Check-In
Passengers connecting through the Caribbean will benefit from the Through Check-In service, which allows baggage to be checked through to the final destination, ensuring a smooth transit between flights.
Juha Jaervinen, Chief Commercial Officer of Virgin Atlantic, stated: “The Caribbean has always been a cornerstone of the Virgin Atlantic network, and we are delighted to make exploring this incredible region easier than ever. By partnering with leading regional airlines, we are expanding our presence, enhancing connectivity, and delivering the seamless experience our customers know and value, from London right through to their final destination in the islands.”
Direct Services from the UK
Virgin Atlantic offers direct flights from London Heathrow and Manchester to Barbados, with up to three daily frequencies during the winter season. It also maintains services to Antigua and Montego Bay, complemented by additional connections through its partners InterCaribbean, Caribbean Airlines, Bahamas Air, and Cayman Airways.
This set of initiatives positions Virgin Atlantic as a key player in Caribbean air connectivity, betting on a more robust, modern network focused on the passenger experience.
