Arajet has inaugurated its new direct route between Punta Cana and Córdoba. With this connection, the Dominican airline adds its second destination in Argentina, a move that strengthens its expansion in the Southern Cone and enhances connectivity with one of the most dynamic markets for Caribbean tourism.
The operation will offer five weekly frequencies, allowing for direct, comfortable, and efficient travel. The announcement comes at a time of strong growth in air traffic between both countries. During the first half of 2025, the arrival of Argentine travelers to the Dominican Republic grew by 89.5% compared to the same period in 2024. Furthermore, Argentina ranked as the third-largest source of tourists to the destination, with projections pointing to nearly 450,000 visitors in 2025.

Córdoba Added as a New Entry Point to the Caribbean
The launch in Córdoba responds to the Argentine market’s demand for direct alternatives to the Caribbean. This new access point complements the airline’s existing presence in Buenos Aires and expands options for thousands of travelers who can now connect not only to Punta Cana but also to the regional network the company operates from the Dominican Republic.
José Cabrera, Arajet’s Vice President of Communications, highlighted the impact of the launch: “The response from the Córdoba market has exceeded our expectations from day one. Demand has been extraordinary and confirms the enormous potential of this connection. Our goal is to continue growing until we reach seven weekly frequencies.”
The airline’s arrival in Córdoba reinforces its vision of connecting the continent with the lowest market prices. This new operation opens opportunities for tourism and broadens access to multiple destinations in North, Central, and South America, strengthening its growth strategy in the region.
