Copa Airlines announced that it continues to monitor and evaluate the necessary conditions to guarantee the operational safety of its flights to Venezuela. As a result of this analysis, the company has decided to extend the temporary suspension of its operations to and from Caracas until Thursday, December 18, 2025.
The airline explained that this decision is due to the need to operate in a reliable environment, especially given recent intermittencies in navigation signals. Therefore, its technical team continues to review the conditions and verify every element related to approaches and procedures at the destination airport.
Increased Flights to Cúcuta and Evaluation of Alternatives
During this period, and in response to the high seasonal demand, Copa Airlines has increased its operations to Cúcuta, Colombia, with the goal of offering greater availability to travelers who need to travel on routes near Venezuela.

Furthermore, the company is evaluating other airports that have approach systems unaffected by the detected variations in navigation signals. This review aims to ensure that any alternative meets the required standards to protect passengers and crew.
Options for Passengers with Affected Reservations
In order to provide solutions to passengers with flights scheduled up to the aforementioned date, Copa Airlines is offering several alternatives to manage changes without additional complexity:
- Date change or modification of origin/destination within the same region, without additional charges.
- Trip cancellation, with the ticket value retained as a credit for future use.
- Refund for unused or partially used tickets, with processing available at www.copa.com.
These measures aim to facilitate planning for users and ensure they can reorganize their itineraries clearly and without extra costs associated with the situation.
