LATAM Airlines Brasil announced the opening of new vacancies for captains and first officers who will operate the Embraer E195-E2, an aircraft model that will join the company’s fleet starting in the last quarter of 2026. The process aims to reinforce and optimize its airline network, in addition to expanding professional opportunities within the Brazilian market.
Applications open today, December 15, and will be available until January 4, 2026, through the LATAM “Trabalhe Conosco” (Work With Us) page. Selected professionals will be admitted starting February 2026 and will receive a unique hiring bonus, differentiated according to the position.
Hiring Bonuses and Key Dates of the Process
The airline confirmed it will pay a one-time financial incentive to approved pilots. Captains will receive R$ 160,000, while first officers will receive R$ 80,000.
This announcement coincides with the arrival of the Embraer E195-E2, an aircraft that will allow LATAM to strengthen its domestic and regional operations as part of a sustainable growth strategy.

LATAM, Largest Employer in Brazilian Aviation

Since 2023, the crew roster has grown by 20%, driven by the increase in flights and the sustained expansion of operations. In that same period, internal promotions increased by 46%, strengthening opportunities for professional growth.
This progress accompanies the expansion of the company’s network, which today operates at 59 airports in Brazil and projects reaching at least 63 by 2026, while maintaining the country’s largest international connectivity.
Requirements for Embraer E195-E2 Captain
Candidates for the Captain position must meet a minimum requirement of 5,000 flight hours in regular airline service (RBAC 121 or equivalent), distributed as follows:
Experience and Licenses
- At least 3,000 hours in jet aircraft, in any type and function.
- Minimum of 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command in aircraft similar to or larger than the E2.
- ICAO Level 4 or higher, current at the time of application and with a minimum validity of one year at the time of hiring.
- Valid CMA (Medical Certificate).
- E-JETS E1 and E2 Type Rating or recent experience within the last three years.
- Valid Brazilian passport.
Valued Differentiators
- Current IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) rating.
- Valid U.S. B1/B2 Visa.
- Completed university degree.
Requirements for Embraer E195-E2 First Officer
For the First Officer position, LATAM requires a minimum of 500 total flight hours in airplanes, in addition to the following credentials:
Training and Ratings
- Commercial Pilot License – Airplane.
- Instrument Rating (IFRA).
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL) or Type Rating.
- Airline Transport Pilot License Course (CCT de PLA).
- ICAO Level 4 or higher, current at the time of application and with at least one year of validity at the time of hiring.
- First-Class CMA (Medical Certificate), with a minimum validity of six months at the time of admission.
- E-JETS E1 and E2 Type Rating or recent experience within the last three years.
- Completed higher education course.
- Valid Brazilian passport.
