Madrid-Barajas Airport handled nearly 5.5 million passengers in November, a 3.9% increase

Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport closed November with 5,494,827 passengers, an increase of 3.9% compared to the same month in 2024. This is the best figure on record for a November and confirms the upward trend in traffic at this facility.

Of this total, 5,482,404 travelers used commercial flights. International routes accounted for 4,206,105 passengers, an increase of 7.8%, while domestic routes reached 1,276,299, a result reflecting a 7.5% decline.

Aircraft movements and performance by flight type

In November, 35,209 flights were operated, a 3% growth compared to 2024. Of these operations, 35,132 were commercial. International services totaled 25,278 movements, representing a 7.5% increase, while domestic services accounted for 9,854, with a 6.9% decrease.

Air cargo on the rise with the best historical result

The airport managed 79,077 tons of cargo during November. This volume represents a 10.7% rise compared to the same month the previous year and becomes the best historical result for that period. Furthermore, this activity represented 59.4% of the air cargo handled across the entire Aena network in the penultimate month of 2025.

A consolidated annual balance

With only one month remaining to close the year, Madrid-Barajas has accumulated 62,542,414 passengers between January and November, equivalent to a 3% advance compared to the same period in 2024.

The number of operations also shows a positive trend. The airport accumulated 393,972 movements in these eleven months, an increase of 2.4% compared to the equivalent period the previous year.

Cargo activity maintains the same trend. So far this year, 763,882 tons have been transported, a figure reflecting a 9.6% growth when compared to 2024.

The traffic and cargo results consolidate Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas as a key node for connectivity and air transport, with new highs that reinforce its role within the Aena network.
