Wingo began operations this Thursday for the only air route that directly connects Colombia with Jamaica, linking Bogotá with Montego Bay and expanding travel options to the Caribbean.
This launch follows the “Destino Oculto 2025” experience, an initiative that surprised 372 travelers, and reinforces the airline’s international presence with a low-cost proposal focused on bringing new destinations closer to passengers.
The new route makes Wingo the only airline in Colombia offering direct flights to Jamaica, facilitating access to one of the most representative destinations in the Caribbean. Montego Bay thus establishes itself as a strategic option for both leisure tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.
With this opening, the company completes its operational network in 11 countries, strengthening its regional positioning and its focus on affordable fares.

Frequencies and Operational Periods
The itinerary includes two weekly frequencies, scheduled on Thursdays and Sundays. Operations will be carried out in two clearly defined stages:
- First season: between December 2025 and January 2026.
- Second stage: from March to November 2026.
During this latter period, Wingo will make over 30,000 seats available to the market, aiming to boost tourist flow between Colombia and Jamaica.
Jorge Jiménez, Vice President of Commercial and Planning at Wingo, highlighted the strategic scope of this launch and the value it represents for Colombian travelers: “We are very proud to inaugurate this route to Montego Bay, a vibrant Caribbean destination that represents an opportunity to boost tourism and open new possibilities for Colombian travelers. With Jamaica, we complete the 11 countries Wingo reaches, always with our low-price proposition and aiming to be the accomplice for all our travelers’ getaways.”
Ticket and Travel Package Availability
Tickets for this connection are already available through wingo.com. Furthermore, travelers can book flight and hotel packages on wingovacations.com, making planning stays in Jamaica easier through a single channel.
With this inauguration, Wingo reinforces its role as a key ally for tourism between Colombia and the Caribbean, while expanding international connectivity options for passengers seeking new experiences in the region.
