Copa Airlines announced the resumption of its flights to and from Caracas, marking a significant step in the recovery of Venezuela’s international air connectivity. The decision is based on improved operational conditions in the airspace of Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, the company stated this Thursday.
A Phased Return, with a View Toward Full Operation
Starting January 13, 2026, Copa Airlines will again operate a daily flight between Panama (PTY) and Caracas (CCS), reinstating the Venezuelan capital into its regional network.
The initial schedule is as follows:
Daily operation from January 13
- CM224: Panama — Caracas
Departure: 9:03 a.m. | Arrival: 12:22 p.m. - CM222: Caracas — Panama
Departure: 1:32 p.m. | Arrival: 3:01 p.m.
This schedule allows for efficient connections to North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America.

Second Flight: Gradual Capacity Increase
The airline confirmed that, starting Friday, January 16, 2026, a second flight between both cities will be reactivated.
Intermediate Phase: January 16 to February 19
During this period, the second service will operate with three to four weekly frequencies, allowing the airline to adjust capacity and demand in real time.
Full Phase: Starting February 20
Beginning February 20, 2026, this second flight will increase to daily frequency, consolidating two daily flights between Panama and Caracas.
