Spirit Airlines will cease operating its nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale and Bucaramanga, Colombia, effective January 13, 2026, according to notification number 2025141000174531 issued by Aerocivil.
Last Scheduled Flight
Based on information published on the airline’s website, the final flight between the two cities will depart from Fort Lauderdale at 10:45 a.m. on Monday, January 12. With this decision, Spirit ends a route that had maintained a frequency of three weekly flights—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Palonegro International Airport will now have only one international route, operated by Copa Airlines to and from Panama City.
