JetBlue Announces Nonstop Flights Between Houston and New York-JFK Starting in May
JetBlue has announced the addition of a new nonstop service between Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), restoring a direct connection between these two key markets.
The operation will begin on May 21, 2026, and will feature two daily frequencies, significantly expanding the airline’s presence on the Texas–New York corridor.
Strategic Reintroduction in a Key Market
According to Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s Vice President of Network Planning and Partnerships, Houston represents a vital destination for both corporate and leisure demand. The resumption of direct service between JFK and IAH offers a convenient link between two major metropolitan areas.
The double-daily frequency structure allows for a schedule tailored to both same-day round trips and extended stays. Additionally, the timing facilitates seamless connections within the airline’s broader network.
Integration with the JetBlue Network
These two new daily flights between Houston and New York complement the existing daily service between Houston and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).

With the addition of this link, passengers from Houston gain expanded access to the JetBlue network, which includes destinations across the U.S. East Coast, as well as operations to Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

The service between New York (JFK) and Houston will operate daily according to the following schedule:
- First Flight
JFK – Houston (Flight 1381): 7:54 a.m. – 10:59 a.m.
Houston – JFK (Flight 1382): 11:50 a.m. – 4:27 p.m.
- Second Flight
JFK – Houston (Flight 281): 1:41 p.m. – 4:48 p.m.
Houston – JFK (Flight 282): 5:44 p.m. – 10:23 p.m.
This hourly distribution provides options in both the morning and afternoon/evening windows, increasing the product’s operational and commercial flexibility.
