Cirium, a firm specializing in aviation industry analytics, has published its monthly punctuality report for January 2026. In the “Global Airlines” category, Aeromexico secured the top spot, with 87.53% of its flights arriving on time.
Regional Leaders and Rankings
The report breaks down performance across various geographic markets, highlighting the top performers in each sector:
North America:
- Southwest Airlines took first place with 82.99% on-time operations.
- Alaska Airlines followed in second place at 81.52%.
- United Airlines rounded out the top three with 80.53%.
Latin America:
- Sky Airline led the market with a remarkable 92.36% on-time rate.
- The ranking continued with Copa Airlines (91.09%), Aeromexico (87.53%), the Brazilian carrier GOL (87.43%), and Volaris (84.32%).
Europe:
- ITA Airways emerged as the leader with 86.80%.
- Vueling secured second place with 85.47%.
- Iberia completed the podium with 80.10%.
Asia-Pacific:
- Hainan Airlines topped the list with 86.84%.
- Singapore Airlines took the second position at 84.14%.
- Air New Zealand ranked third with 82.16%.
Middle East and Africa:
- FlySafair achieved the top spot with 91.81% punctuality.
- South African Airways followed in second place with 87.12%.
- Royal Jordanian placed third at 85.39%.
