Air Europa will significantly bolster its operations for the upcoming Holy Week season, adding more than 20,000 extra seats across its domestic and European routes. This strategy aims to meet the peak demand projected between March 27 and April 6, optimizing connectivity to high-traffic vacation destinations.
Strategic Reinforcement in the Domestic and Island Markets
The airline has decided to concentrate the bulk of its capacity increase on connections linking Mainland Spain with the archipelagos, which serve as central hubs for tourism during these dates.
Connectivity with the Balearic and Canary Islands
- Balearic Islands: Over 6,500 additional seats will be made available on routes connecting Palma de Mallorca with key cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, and Granada.
- Canary Islands: The carrier will increase its offering by 1,800 seats for routes between Madrid and the airports of Tenerife North and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
- Málaga Connection: Added to this deployment is the operational reinforcement of the Madrid-Málaga route, which will provide 8,700 additional seats during the holiday period, consolidating an operation that has been undergoing strengthening since January.

Frequency Expansion across the European Network
In the international arena, Air Europa will strengthen its presence in the most in-demand European capitals and financial centers. This increase represents a total of 2,900 extra seats distributed across additional frequencies from its Madrid hub to:
- Munich (Germany)
- Zurich (Switzerland)
- Brussels (Belgium)
- Rome (Italy)
Fleet Modernization: Role of the Boeing 737 MAX
The entire special operation scheduled for these dates will be carried out using the company’s narrow-body fleet. Air Europa continues its process of unification and modernization, relying on the efficiency of the Boeing 737.
A key driver of this growth is the incorporation of new, next-generation units. So far this year, the airline has received two new Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, bringing its current fleet of this model to six. This progress is part of a total order of 20 aircraft that will be progressively integrated into the company’s network.
With this ambitious planning, Air Europa reaffirms its commitment to guaranteeing efficient mobility during periods of high travel concentration, ensuring availability in the destinations most requested by its customers.
