Breeze Airways Expands International Network with New Routes to San Jose, Costa Rica and Punta Cana from Tampa
Breeze Airways has announced the launch of two new international non-stop services from Tampa International Airport to San Jose, Costa Rica, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the carrier’s growth following its certification as a “flag carrier” by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) late last year.
Strategic Expansion in the Caribbean and Central America
With the addition of these new routes, the airline’s global network now encompasses more than 300 direct routes connecting 87 cities across the United States, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean.
David Neeleman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Breeze Airways, highlighted that this announcement doubles the number of international destinations served by the airline from Tampa. Meanwhile, Michael Stephens, CEO of TPA, noted the historical significance of the Costa Rica flight, marking the first time in over 25 years that the airport has offered this direct connection.
