LATAM Airlines Group consolidated a 9.3% growth in passenger traffic during February 2026, driven by strong international demand and a dynamic Brazilian market.
Sustained Growth in Passenger Traffic and Load Factor
During the second month of the year, the LATAM Group successfully mobilized 7.1 million passengers. This figure not only represents a year-on-year increase compared to February 2025 but was also accompanied by improved aircraft utilization.
The group’s consolidated load factor reached 85.6%, marking an increase of 2.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year. This indicator reflects balanced management between seat capacity and effective market demand.
Strategic Momentum of LATAM Airlines Brazil
The Brazilian domestic market remains one of the primary engines for the holding company. February’s results highlight the following milestones:
- Passenger Volume: Over 3 million travelers were transported on Brazilian domestic routes.
- Percentage Increase: Solid growth of 14.1% compared to 2025 data.
- Efficiency: The load factor in this specific segment reached 82%.
Expansion of Operational Capacity and Demand
The group’s growth strategy is evidenced by the increase in its Available Seat Kilometers (ASK), the industry standard for measuring capacity. The group raised its total offering by 11.4%.
This capacity deployment was leveraged across two critical fronts:
- International Operations: Recorded a 14.8% increase in capacity.
- Brazil Domestic Market: LATAM Airlines Brazil’s capacity grew by 12.5%.
Conversely, traffic measured in Revenue Passenger Kilometers (RPK) showed even more robust performance, with a consolidated rise of 14.4%. The international segment led this metric with an 18.0% jump, followed closely by the Brazilian domestic market with a 15.6% year-on-year increase.
Cargo Sector Performance
The freight division also reported positive figures during February. The LATAM Group managed a total of 82,000 tons of cargo.
Capacity in this sector, measured in Available Tonne Kilometers (ATK), reached 686 million, representing a 7.6% strengthening compared to February of the previous year.
